LORD, who sustains the earth and all therein, and all therein, we too easily forget your provisions. You give us daily bread that nourishes satisfies supplies all that we could ever need But like the Isaelites who grew weary of manna— a miracle and a gift for life, we forget and this manna becomes ordinary. Help us see anew these miracles you give each and every day Like the rising sun and the breath in our lungs, like the constant rhythmic beat of each heart in our children’s chest and our loved ones’ waking every dawn, and when was the last time we considered the chaos of the waters without the moon or the oxygen produced by every living plant, the sun sets each day without our command and we hold no stars in the sky yet they are visible each night and constantly shining And let us not forget today that you’ve provided spiritual breath and blood and water and life And, in your Son and by his body broken, the bread of life—Manna he sustains our eternity and our present each and every moment upheld and held in him for your glory. Amen. This post is part of a blog hop with Exhale—an online community of women pursuing creativity alongside motherhood, led by the writing team behind Coffee + Crumbs. This is so special, I loved what you pulled forth, especially the lines of the magnificence of nature-- the tides and the stars, it is so very far from ordinary. Thank you!
This is incredible!
